Hi, my name's Gray, like the color. I'd call myself a thoughtful and passionate tastemaker based in Portland, Oregon, who just so happens to be a natural redhead. My process for design is refined obsession: painstakingly dedicated to details while bringing a luxurious finish to the end result. I see design as an answer to a question—why should people care about this? Well, let me tell you why.
I believe that art is most effective when it is purposeful and emotionally resonant. Every client and project begins with a connection on some level, and that connection drives the emotional core of the design as a whole. What the hell does that mean?, you might be thinking. Basically, my clients and I build a relationship on communication, trust, and having a good time. That means lots of WIP updates, no AI slop, and some good witty banter to keep the juices juicing. Wanna take a sip?

I believe that showing up for your friends and your community is an aspect of professionalism. I believe that everything is inherently political, and it has never been more important to stand up for marginalized communities. I believe that artificial intelligence is a tool used to increase profits at the expense of artists. I have never, nor will ever, use generative art in my work.
My principles underline a new movement in the workforce: Professionally Fed Up. I am tired of maximizing productivity and profit at the expense of quality work. I am pissed off by the endless attacks on diversity and equity from politicians and government. I am sick of compromising my values to make a buck. By having these values visible on my portfolio, I take a stand against quiet complacency within current capitalism. This is as much of an outward proclamation to the industry as it is a commandment to hold myself accountable to my own values.
