Helping my friends with their own creative pursuits is my main love language. Any chance I can take to lend my skills to elevate someone's personal brand is always a yes! from me. Alec needed help with a logo, a wordmark, an a potential website layout. I wanted to take inspiration from the graphic design of Pokémon and Kirby, under the theme of coastal PNW.

Alec needed help with a logo, a wordmark, an a potential website layout. I wanted to take inspiration from the graphic design of Pokémon and Kirby, under the theme of coastal PNW.
Designing playful while still being clean was key. Alec's favorite Pokémon is Oshawott, a cute water-type otter. I thought creating a little otter character wearing glasses would be perfect for his mascot. Having a star in his logo was a reference to Kirby, but having it slightly off-kilter is perfect for Alec's slightly off-kilter creative flare. This baby blue has always been one of his favorite colors, and feels like the perfect color for lazy days on the Oregon Coast.

Roundedness is essential to Alec's branding here: welcoming, playful, and gentle are all words I would use to describe Alec as a creator as well. He makes any talent or crew members feel comfortable with his demeanor, and I tried to convey that in the design for his branding. Beyond that, space and breathability is a direct reflection to Alec's calming presence as a friend too; working on establishing his identity as a freelancer and content creator was such a pleasure.
